Arrive at Chandigarh International Airport and begin your journey into the Himalayas. Drive through scenic foothills ascending to Kufri (2,622 meters), a charming hill station near Shimla. En route, stop at Kali Tibba Temple, perched at 2,290 meters offering panoramic views of the Shivalik ranges and valleys below. This sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Kali is surrounded by dense deodar forests.
Arrive in Kufri and check into your hotel. The evening is free to explore this quaint mountain town known for its pleasant weather and outdoor activities. Kufri serves as the perfect acclimatization stop before entering higher altitudes.

Kufri → Sarahan via Hatu Peak & Narkanda (161 km | 5-6 hours)
Panoramic Peaks & Apple Orchards
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Sarahan. En route, ascend to Hatu Peak (3,400 meters) near Narkanda, one of Himachal’s most spectacular viewpoints. Drive or trek through dense pine and deodar forests to reach the summit crowned by Hatu Mata Temple. Sacred Temple & Baspa Valley Beauty
After breakfast, visit the magnificent Bhimakali Temple, one of India’s 51 Shakti Peethas and a masterpiece of Himalayan architecture. This multi-story wooden structure combining Hindu and Buddhist architectural elements dates back over 800 years. Continue to Chitkul (3,450 meters), India’s last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border.

Journey into Spiti Valley
After breakfast, embark on one of India’s most scenic drives entering the mystical Spiti Valley. Cross from lush Kinnaur into the high-altitude cold desert of Spiti. At Khab, witness the dramatic confluence of the turquoise Sutlej and muddy Spiti rivers—a spectacular sight where two mighty rivers merge.
Continue to Nako Village (3,662 meters), a serene hamlet surrounding the sacred Nako Lake. Visit the 11th-century Nako Monastery featuring ancient murals and a peaceful meditation hall.
